"La Creperie is filled with coastal Gallic charm; the kind of quay-side place that awaits disembarking English tourists after a pleasant sail across the Channel. Inside is all dark wood furniture, a wine bar and a maritime theme straight out of Brittany, which is where La Creperie comes from. You can almost hear the seafulls. It does scream out for fresh oysters on a bed of ice or a heaving plat du fruit des mer but alas you won't find them.
What you do find are some of the best and best value crepes and galettes we've come across in all of Asia. Push the boat out with La Broceliande (French goat cheese melted with salad and walnut) for RMB68. For RMB45 you could try La Saint Quay (bacon, French Emmental cheese). Or, at just RMB38, La Complete (ham, French Emmental cheese and egg).
Finish (share if you're with someone) with a RMB68 La Crepe Suzette (orange marmalade, caster suger and lemon juice) served with flambe Cointreau. The flaming alcohol alone is worth the price. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream - so good it must come from another era.
Speaking of bygone eras, they are a little behind the times when it comes to accepting cards, so make sure you are cashed up before you crepe it up. "
